Since today is the last day of 2012, I thought I’d look back and recognize all the good things that have come to pass.

  1. I’m thankful for the out-of-the-country vacations I’ve had with my family and with my friends. I enjoy travelling, from the time I have to make the itinerary (and it always falls on me to make the itinerary, which I don’t mind at all because, if someone else were appointed to do it, I’d volunteer to help out anyway), to the time we board the plane back to Manila. This year, I’ve had the chance to visit a new city, the beautiful Seoul in South Korea. I’m looking forward to discovering new cities in 2013.

  2. I’m thankful for the financial blessings that my husband and I have had this year. We have been able to augment our long-term funds and, more importantly, reached a financial milestone late this year. There were times when I panicked and thought we were a bit low on funds – especially after the travels, haha – but we pulled through without problems. We have even bigger expenses planned for next year – a car, our daughter’s school, etc. – so I’m hoping the blessings will spill over into 2013.
  3. I’m thankful for the wonderful way my daughter has grown and developed this year. Part of me wants her to still be a baby (and she still is), but the other part is just excited to find out what new skill or talent she’ll develop next. This year, I’ve seen her start to sing, to become more sociable, quote lines and reenact scenes from Disney’s Tangled, and just overall become smarter and brighter. She has never ceased to amaze me this year, and I’m sure she’ll continue to do that in 2013.

So, to God, to my family, to my friends and acquaintances, to challenges and opportunities, to the highs and lows, to the good times and bad – thank you for making 2012 such a defining moment in my life – and see you soon, 2013!

thank you 2012!
